Abstract
Abstract A process for producing a high purity oxygen from air by PSA comprises connecting a first adsorption unit 15A, 15B packed with carbon molecular sieve and a second adsorption unit 17A, 17B packed with zeolite molecular sieve in series, and conducting PSA operation separately in each of the units during the same operation cycle time. The desorption gas from the first adsorption unit 15A, 15B is accumulated in a receiver 16 and then introduced to the second unit 17A, 17B as a raw material gas and to the first unit 15A, 15B as a rinse gas.

The process according to claim 1, wherein a dehydrant is further packed in the gas inlet of each adsorber of the first and second units to adsorb water, and water is desorbed therefrom under reduced pressure by a vacuum pump and condensed by cooling with a refrigerator-type drier provided at the outlet of the vacuum pump to remove water.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
