Abstract Translated from German Verbindungen der Formel <IMAGE> worin R für Alkyl mit bis zu 4 Kohlenstoffatomen steht, n einen Durchschnittswert von mindestens 9 darstellt, X einen Rest der Formel -C(=O)-(NH-SO2)m- bedeutet, worin m für 0 oder 1 steht und, falls m für 1 steht, die Carbonylgruppe mit dem Sauerstoffatom oder dem Stickstoffatom verbunden sein kann, und jeder der Reste A1, A2 und A3, unabhängig von den anderen, Wasserstoff oder einen Acylrest darstellt, und Salze von salzbildenden Verbindungen der Formel I, sowie Metallkomplexe von Verbindungen der Formel I, worin A1, A2 und A3 für Wasserstoff stehen, können als Metallchelatoren bzw. als Diagnosehilfsmittel verwendet werden. Compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R is alkyl having up to 4 carbon atoms, n is an average value of at least 9, X is a radical of the formula -C (= O) - (NH-SO2) m-, where m is 0 or 1 and, if m represents 1, the carbonyl group may be connected to the oxygen atom or the nitrogen atom, and each of the radicals A1, A2 and A3, independently of the others, represents hydrogen or an acyl radical, and salts of salt-forming compounds of the Formula I, as well as metal complexes of compounds of formula I, in which A1, A2 and A3 are hydrogen, can be used as metal chelators or as diagnostic aids.
