Abstract
Abstract Block polymers comprise in polymeric form, at least one block selected from hydrolyzable C 2 -C 5 alkyl methacrylates, methacrylic acid and ionomers thereof and at least one other block of an an ionically copolymerizable monomer other than methylmethacrylate. Preferably, the other block comprises, in polymerized form,a conjugated diene, hydrogenated conjugated diene or a C 6 -C 20 nonhydrolyzable methacrylate ester. It is especially preferred that the diene is butadiene or isoprene, the nonhydrolyzable methacrylate is 2-ethylhex- ymethacrylate and that the hydrolyzable methacrylate is t-butyl methacrylate.
