Abstract
Abstract Disclosed is a cell structure of a liquid crystal display device disposing a first spacer (5) of smaller diameter being overlaid on a color filter layer (3) in a liquid crystal cell of a liquid crystal cell device having said color filter layer (3) formed on the inner surface of cell substrate (1,2), and a second spacer (6) of greater diameter outside said color filter layer (3), wherein the diameter difference of said first spacer (5) and second spacer (6) is set to the thickness of said color filter layer (3) substantially.

A color liquid crystal display device comprising: a first substrate possessing a first electrode and a first orientation film; a second substrate, opposite to said first substrate, possessing a second electrode, a second orientation film and a color filter layer; a seal part for forming a free space for injecting liquid crystal material by adhering said first substrate and second substrate; a first spacer disposed between the color filter layer on said second substrate and the first substrate; and a second spacer disposed between said first substrate and second substrate, having a diameter substantially equal to the sum of the diameter of said first spacer and the thickness of the color filter layer.
