Abstract

Abstract A coated product is provided and comprises a substrate and a coating comprising a microporous scaffold having a void volume and of greater than 40% of open, interconnecting microstructure, the void being substantially filled with a chemical substance. The coating can be used by itself, or it can usefully be affixed to a wide variety of substrates.
