Abstract

Abstract In the electric actuator of the present invention, the power converting mechanism is provided for converting the rotary power of the motor into linear power of the driven member, which needs no special component part. Therefore, in comparison with the prior art power converting mechanism, it is advantage in that the scale of speed reduction and the stroke can be freely determined, with remarkably reduced number of parts and in low cost. The electric actuator according to the present invention is also provided with the improved clutch device employing the engagement of the weight and the recessed portion for secure transmission of the rotary power of the motor, resulting in full utilization of the capacity of the motor in simplified structure.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 130 words
An electric actuator provided with a power converting mechanism which comprises: a motor; a gear which is rotated through a centrifugal clutch provided at the output side of said motor; a final drive gear to be meshed with said gear, having an internal thread formed in the inner peripheral surface of an axial hole formed in the center thereof; and a screw passing through the axial hole of said final drive gear for fixing, having an external thread formed in the outer peripheral surface thereof, so that the external thread is screwed with said internal thread, wherein a connecting portion connected to a driven member is formed at one end of said screw so as to convert the rotary power of said motor into linear power of said driven member.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 130 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 142 words
An electric actuator provided with a clutch device, which comprises: a motor; a driver provided integrally with an output shaft of said motor; a weight mounted in said driver in such a manner as to be unmovable in the circumferential direction and movable in the radial direction; and a rotating drum at the output side which is loosely fitted in said driver, wherein a convexed portion formed in the inner peripheral surface of said rotating drum into which said weight moving outwards in the radial direction by the centrifugal force when the motor is rotated is engaged, so that the rotation of the motor is transmitted to the rotating drum through the engagement of the weight with the convexed portion, and the rotation of the driver is stopped when the rotating drum is stopped, thereby to restrict the rotation of the motor.
Claim 4
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 157 words
An electric actuator provided with a switch mechanism, which comprises: a motor; an output member driven by said motor; a pair of arms projected opposite to each other in said output member; and a recessed portion formed between said pair of arms for engagement with a switch operating tab, the width of said recessed portion being larger than the width of the switch operating tab to make a clearance, so arrangement that after said output member is moved said clearance distance, with said operating tab being left behind, then said operating tab is moved together with said output member to a predetermined position, when the supply of electric power to said motor is interrupted, wherein the charging stroke of said switch is set smaller than the stroke of the driven member interlocked with the output member, and at the same time, the stroke of the output member is set larger than the stroke of said driven member.
Claim 6
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 98 words
An electric actuator comprising: a bellows placed between a casing of the actuator and a driver lever protruding from said casing; a respiration hole formed in said casing so as to respond to the operation of said bellows; and a skirt portion formed in the outer periphery of said respiration hole and separated a given distance from said respiration hole so as to enclose the respiration hole; wherein water drops running along the outer wall surface of the casing are guided along said skirt portion, so that the water drops are prevented from gathering in the respiration hole.
Claim 8
