Use of graft polymers of polyalkylene oxides as anti-redeposition agents in the washing and after-treatment of textiles containing synthetic fibres
Abstract
Abstract Use of graft copolymers which are obtainable by grafting (a) polyalkylene oxides of a molecular weight (according to the number average) of 300 to 100,000 based on ethylene oxide, propylene oxide and/or butylene oxide with (b) N-vinylpyrrolidone and (c) a vinyl ester which is derived from a saturated monocarboxylic acid containing 1 to 6 C atoms and/or a methyl or ethyl ester of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid in the weight ratio (a) : (b) : (c) of 1:0.3:1 to 1:5:30, where the addition sequence of the monomers (b) and (c) in the graft copolymerisation is arbitrary and up to 15 mol % of the grafted monomers (c) can be hydrolysed.
