Abstract

Abstract Slow-release pharmaceutical compositions which comprise at least one of the following: adenine, cystine and tyrosine in combination with at least one pharmaceutically active substance are disclosed. The slow-release pharmaceutical compositions which may be tablets, granules implants, capsules, troches etc., can either slowly release their active substances over time or release the active substances at a predetermined time after their administration. The slow-release pharmaceutical composition may be used with practically all types of drugs irrespective of whether they are water-soluble or slightly water-soluble, including hypotensives, antipyretic analgesic antiinflammatories, immunoregulators, adrenocortical hormones, antidiabetic agent, vasodilators, cardiotonics, antiarrhythmic agents, anti-arteriosclerotic agents, and antidotes.
