Self-tapping bone implant for dentistry
Abstract
Pin implant for dental purposes consisting of a post bearing (4) provided with a self-tapping thread (2), which is screwed into a deep hole in the jawbone, and a post (10) with a handle (13) for attaching dental superstructures. The post handle (13) is provided at the end with a thread (16) which is screwed into an internal thread (12) in the post bearing (4). According to the invention, the outside diameter of the self-tapping thread (2) does not exceed the diameter of the post bearing (4) over its length. Rather, the thread depth decreases continuously from the conical free end of the thread core (3) to the post bearing (4) to zero.
