Abstract

The invention relates to a receiving device for a supply length of at least one optical fiber (LWL) starting from a cable end, which can be arranged in the vicinity of the cable end and has a flat storage space, in which the supply length is laid in the form of a winding, with one end leading to a connection point LWL can be pulled out by reducing the winding diameter, and wherein the storage space has guide walls by which the minimum inner and maximum outer winding diameter and the axial height are limited. So that the free lengths required to remove the receiving device from a housing can be stored in an orderly manner, it is provided that the storage space is subdivided into two winding spaces (7, 8), one of which (8) is available for making the connection and the other (7 ) takes up a free length required to remove the receiving device from the cable end, and that length sections of the fiber optic cable can be pulled out independently of one another from both winding spaces (7, 8).
