Abstract

Abstract A system for the preparation of a fluid intended for a medical treatment by mixing of pure water with at least one concentrate, the concentrate being filtered before the mixing with the help of a filter (15), comprising a concentrate inlet (40) and an outlet (44) for the filtered concentrate and a connection (41), preferably completely closed during normal use, arranged on the inlet side (16) of the filter. The system in accordance with the invention is characterized in that the filter (15) for the purpose of disinfection and/or sterilization or other cleaning is adapted to be flushed through on its inlet side (16) with a fluid intended for this purpose, a part of which is arranged to be withdrawn via the filtering material through the said outlet (44) for filtered concentrate. The system in accordance with the invention is intended in particular for the preparation of dialysis fluid intended for haemodialysis. It may also be used, however, for the preparation of replacement fluid in connection with haemodiafiltration or haemofiltration.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 12
Claim 1
Independent Claim 122 words
A system for the preparation of a fluid intended for medical treatment by mixing of water with at least one concentrate, the concentrate being filtered before the mixing with the help of a filter (15) comprising a concentrate inlet (40) and an outlet (44) for the filtered concentrate and a connection (41), preferably completely closed during normal use, arranged on the inlet side (16) of the filter, characterized in that the filter (15) for the purpose of disinfection and/or sterilization or other cleaning is adapted to be flushed through on its inlet side (16) with a fluid intended for this purpose, a part of which is arranged to be withdrawn via the filtering material through the said outlet (44) for filtered concentrate.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 39 words
A system in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that the said fluid is adapted to be supplied via the concentrate inlet (40) of the filter and to be discharged to a drain (22ʹ) via the said connection (41).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 25 words
A system in accordance with claim 2, characterized by a pressure control valve (43) arranged between the said connection (41) and the said drain (22ʹ).
Claim 5
Independent Claim 25 words
A system in accordance with anyone of the preceding claims, characterized by a suction pump (10) arranged after the said outlet (44) for filtered concentrate.
Claim 6
Independent Claim 83 words
A system in accordance with anyone of the preceding claims comprising two sources fo concentrate (11,13) which are connected to the remaining system via two connecting ducts (12,14), whereof at least one (14) is provided with a filter (15) of the said type and each of which is connected to a suction pump (9 and 10 respectively), characterized in that the two sources of concentrate (11,13) are adapted so that they can be disconnected, with the two connecting ducts (12,14) being joined together.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 45 words
A system in accordance with claim 5, characterized by a branch duct (45) connected to a drain (22ʹ) originating from a point in the associated connecting duct between the said outlet (44) for filtered concentrate and the suction pump (10) arranged in the same duct.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 21 words
A system in accordance with claim 6, characterized by a pressure control valve (46) arranged in the said branch duct (45).
Claim 9
Independent Claim 55 words
A system in accordance with claims 3 and 6, characterized in that the pressure control valve (43) between the said connection (41) and the said drain (22ʹ) is set, or is adapted so that it can be set, to a higher resistance pressure than the pressure control valve (46) in the said branch duct (45).
Claim 10
Independent Claim 94 words
A system in accordance with anyone of the preceding claims, the water being filtered prior to mixing with the help of a filter (2) comprising a water inlet (1) connected to a source of water, an outlet (5) for filtered water and an outlet (34) for non-filtered water connected to a drain, characterized in that the said outlet (5) for the filtered water is adapted so that it can be connected on the one hand to a point for mixing with the said concentrate, on the other hand directly to the concentrate filter (15).
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 27 words
A system in accordance with claim 9, characterized by a supply duct (30) for the said fluid arranged before the inlet (1) of the water filter (2).
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 26 words
A system in accordance with claim 9 or 10, characterized by a shut-off valve (38) arranged between the water filter (2) and the concentrate filter (15).
