Abstract
Abstract A disk recording device that records data such as musical information on or in a recordable disk (1) where absolute addresses have been previously recorded is disclosed. According to the invention, address data indicating each information block area (5) where data such as musical information are recorded to in a program area (6) of said recordable disk are recorded to a lead-in section (7), and a recordable area (6) of the program area (6), such as an unrecorded part or unnecessarily recorded part, is detected on the basis of the address data of each information block area. The length of the recordable area is inidcated. Hence the user can easily confirm the unrecorded or unnecessarily recorded part so as to realize efficient information recording to the recordable area which is suitably long or spacious enough for the information to be recorded.

A disk recording device comprising: recording means (11,12,13,27) for recording data such as musical information to a program area of a recordable disk(1) where absolute addresses have been proviously recorded, and after the data recording operation with respect to the program area(6),further recording address data indicating an information block area to which the data recording has been performed in said program area to a lead-n section (7) provided to an inner or outer circumference of said disk(1); and data processing means(17)for reading address data of each information block area recorded to said lead-in section (7), obtaining an end address of one information block N and a start address of the next information block N+1 on the basis of said address data, comparing said end address with said start address, and determining that its is a recordable area in case an address difference more than the prescribed value is present.
