Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to an optical disk reproducing apparatus of a compact disk player and the like, an object of the invention is to provide an indicating device to ensure an operation for reproducing a plurality of information such as music, which are divided and recorded on a disk, by selecting arbitrary information specified by a user within a continuous playing time, so that a data of continuous playing time specified by the user is converted into a data for a time scale indication thereby to indicate the specified continuous playing time on a time scale, Furthermore, by converting into a data for the time scale indication the data of insufficient time when the data of the sum total of the reproducing time of the information arbitrarily selected by the user and the sum of the reproducing time of the information arbitrarily selected by the user exceed the specified continuous playing time and by indicating the converted data on the time scale, it becomes possible for the user to instantaneously recognize each indication as a sense of a length on the time scale.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 61 words
An optical disk reproducing apparatus comprising a continuous playing time specifying key which specifies the time to continue the play, a bar graph for continuous playing time display which displays the specified continuous playing time, and a time scale converting unit of the continuous playing time which converts the data of continuous playing time into the data for time scale display.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 61 words
An optical disk reproducing apparatus comprising a continuous playing time specifying key which specifies the time to continue the play, a bar graph for continuous playing time display which displays the specified continuous playing time, and a time scale converting unit of the continuous playing time which converts the data of continuous playing time into the data for time scale display.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 89 words
An optical disk reproducing apparatus comprising a stored music input means for storing the music to be played, a reproducing music storage unit which stores the music specified by the stored music input means, a stored music reproduction time adding unit which obtains the sum of the reproduction time of the stored music, and a time scale display means which converts the data of the sum of the stored music reproduction time issued from the foregoing stored music reproduction time adding unit into the data for time scale display.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 89 words
An optical disk reproducing apparatus comprising a stored music input means for storing the music to be played, a reproducing music storage unit which stores the music specified by the stored music input means, a stored music reproduction time adding unit which obtains the sum of the reproduction time of the stored music, and a time scale display means which converts the data of the sum of the stored music reproduction time issued from the foregoing stored music reproduction time adding unit into the data for time scale display.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 144 words
An optical disk reproducing apparatus comprising a reproduction time input means which specifies the time to continue the play, a specified reproduction time storage unit which stores the specified reproduction time, a stored music input means which stores the music to be played, a reproducing music storage unit which stores the music specified by the stored music input means, a stored music reproduction time adding unit whereby the sum of the reproduction time of the stored music, a substracting means whereby the sum of the stored music reproduction time is subtracted from the specified time, a time display means which displays the data obtained from the subtracing means in terms of time display, and a time scale display means for the added time display which converts the sum of the foregoing stored music reproduction time into the time scale and displays the converted data.
Claim 6
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 38 words
An optical disk reproducing apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the time display means has a function to cause to turn on the off the time display when the data obtained by the subtracing means is negative numbers.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 51 words
An optical disk reproducing apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the time scale means for added time display has a function to cause to turn on and off the time scale of the length of a data obtained by the subtracting means if the obtained data is given in negative numbers.
