Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 34 words
A process for improving the dyeability of a woven or non-woven textile which comprises treating the textile, before dyeing, with an aqueous dispersion of a polyurethane having cationic groups randomly distributed in the macromolecule.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 34 words
A process for improving the dyeability of a woven or non-woven textile which comprises treating the textile, before dyeing, with an aqueous dispersion of a polyurethane having cationic groups randomly distributed in the macromolecule.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 36 words
A process as claimed in claim 1 characterised in that the cationic groups are of the ammonium type and are present in an amount of from 15 to 100 milliequivalents per 100 grams of dry polyurethane.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 22 words
A process as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that the polyurethane also has polyether side or end chains.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 31 words
A process as claimed in calim 3 characterized in that the polyether side or end chains have an average molecular weight of from 500 to 2000, preferably from 500 to 1000.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 30 words
A process as claimed in claim 3 or claim 4 characterised in that the polyether chains are methyl or butyl monoethers of polyoxyethyleneglycol as such or copolymerized with propylene oxide.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 21 words
A process as claimed in any one of claims 3 - 4 characterised in that the polyether chains are polyoxyethylene chains.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 33 words
A process as claimed in any one of claims 3-6 characterised in that the polyether chains are present in an amount of from 4 to 15% by weight, based on the dry polyurethane.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 35 words
A process as claimed in any one of the preceding claims characterised in that the aqueous polyurethane dispersion has a solids content of more than 10% by weight, preferably from 10 to 50% by weight.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 29 words
A process as claimed in any ne of the preceding claims, characterised in that the woven or non-woven textile is based on natural fibres, synthetic fibres or mixed fibres.
