Abstract
Abstract A ticket issuing apparatus, in which a ticket (5) is supplied from a ticket stock (2), is recorded a given data on a magnetic stripe (5b) thereon, and is printed by thermal head (34) in accordance with the data, comprises a insertion guide (45) communicated with a ticket conveyer (1) in the apparatus, and a side passage (47) communicated with the conveyer between the stock and the magnetic head. A ticket manually inserted in the insertion guide is introduced through conveyer into the side passage, and then is moved out from the side passage into the conveyer to be changed the data in the stripe and the prints on the ticket.

A ticket issuing apparatus: comprising ticket stock means (2) having ticket containing portion (6) for containing a plurality of tickets (5) each having magnetic-record holding means (5b), and ticket supplying means (7) for leading out the tickets one by one from the ticket containing portion; conveying means (63; 1, 24, 25, 26, 27, 38, 39) for conveying the ticket led out from the ticket stock means; magnetic recording means (3) having a magnetic head (28) for writing or recording given data on the magnetic-record holding means of the ticket conveyed by the conveying means; and printing means (4) for printing on the ticket conveyed by the conveying means in accordance with the given data; characterized by further comprising manual-insertion passage means (64; 45, 50, 54, 56, 57) having at its one end an insertion opening (43) into which a ticket (5) is manually inserted from outside, the other end (44) of which being communicated with the conveying means (63; 1, 24, 25, 26, 27, 38, 39); side passage means (45) having at its one end a side opening (46) communicating with the conveying means between the ticket stock means (2) and the magnetic recording means (3); and control means (65) for controlling the conveying means so as to move, at first, the ticket, inserted into the insertion opening of manual-insertion passage means from outside, through conveying means into the side passage means at the side opening, and, then, to move the ticket in the side passage means from the side passage means into the conveying means so that the given data is written or recorded on the magnetic-record holding means in the magnetic recording means, and further printed thereon in the printing means.

The ticket issuing apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that gate means (48, 49) is provided at each of the other end (44) of the manual-insertion passage means (64; 45, 50, 51, 53, 54, 56, 57) and the side opening (46) of the side passage means (47), the gates means being movable between a closed position, in which the gate means closes each of the other end and the side opening, and an opening position, in which the gate means opens each of the other end and the side opening to the conveying means, the gate means (48) provided at the other end of the manual-insertion passage means is urged toward the closed position and guides at it opening position the ticket (5), inserted into the manual-insertion passage means, toward the inside opening, and the gate means (49) provided at the side opening of the side passage means is urged toward the opening position and guides at its opening position the ticket, moved from manual-insertion passage means to the conveying means, into the side passage means at the side opening.

The ticket issuing apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the manual-insertion passage means (64; 45, 51, 54, 56, 57) includes: insertion sensing means (56) for sensing an insertion of the ticket (5) from outside into the insertion opening (43), sensing means (57) for sensing the magnetic-record holding means (5b) of the ticket (5) inserted into the insertion opening; a closing lever (51) being movable between a closed position, in which the closing lever is located in a manual-insertion passage defined in the manual-insertion passage means so as to abut the ticket inserted into the insertion opening so that the ticket is prevented from further advancing into the manual-insertion passage means, and an opening position, in which the closing lever is moved away from the manual-insertion passage so as to allow the ticket inserted into the insertion opening to further advance therein; and closing-lever drive means (52, 53) for urging the closing lever toward the closed position, and moving the closing lever toward the opening position in accordance with the sensing of the magnetic-record holding means of the ticket, inserted into the insertion opening, by the sensing means for sensing the magnetic-record holding means.
