Injection device
Abstract
It is an injection device (10) that the patient can operate with only one hand and that automatically carries out the injection process after triggering, i.e. both the insertion of the needle into the patient's tissue and the injection of the liquid into this tissue. This injection device has a receptacle (20) for a cartridge (12) which contains several injection doses. The dose to be injected can be set on an actuator (56, 65; 100). The pressure is injected automatically on a trigger member (11) with this preset dosage. Subsequently, a new injection with a different injection quantity can be carried out without changing the cartridge, as long as the cartridge (12) contains enough injection liquid. The device is particularly suitable for so-called intensified insulin therapy, in which insulin has to be injected several times a day.
