Die als Emulgatorharze eingesetzten Alkydharze, Urethanalkydharze oder Epoxidharzester zeigen als gemeinsames Merkmal einen Gehalt an freien Säuregruppen entsprechend einer Säurezahl von 35 bis 70 mg KOH/g, wobei diese Säuregruppen zu mindestens 80 % von Methacryl­säureestern stammen, welche in einem gesonderten Reaktionsschritt auf die ungesättigten Fettsäuren aufgepfropft wurden. Der Gehalt dieser Harze an trocknen­den und/oder halbtrocknenden Fettsäuren liegt zwischen 40 und 70 Gew.-%.
