Claim 1
Independent Claim 38 words
An acrylic copolymer of ethyl acrylate and methacrylic acid wherein the weight ratio of ethyl acrylate to methacrylic acid is from 75:25 to 95:5, said copolymer containing residual monomer at 50 ppm or less and substantially no surfactant.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 38 words
An acrylic copolymer of ethyl acrylate and methacrylic acid wherein the weight ratio of ethyl acrylate to methacrylic acid is from 75:25 to 95:5, said copolymer containing residual monomer at 50 ppm or less and substantially no surfactant.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 18 words
An agent for protecting the skin including an effective amount of a copolymer as claimed in claim 1.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 45 words
An agent as claimed in claim 2 which consists essentially of the following components: a. acrylic copolymer as defined in claim 1 ----- approximately 2 to 10%; b. cellulose derivative ----- approximately 0.2 to 2%; and c. an aqueous alcohol to make up the balance.
