Abstract Translated from German Zur Schaffung eines terrestrischen, digitalen Hör­funkübertragungssystems, welches ohne neue Frequenz­zuteilungen auskommt und bestehende Rundfunkübertra­gungssysteme nicht beeinträchtigt, wird vorgeschlagen, daß die Sendefrequenzbänder des digitalen Hörfunk­übertragungssystems identisch sind mit den Sendefre­quenzbändern eines vorhandenen Fernsehübertragung­systems. Dabei sind die Standorte gleichkanaliger Hörfunk- und Fernsehsender derart gewählt, daß ein gleichkanaliger Hörfunksender in der üblichen Mitte zwischen nächstliegenden gleichkanaligen Fernseh­sendern liegt. To create a terrestrial, digital radio transmission system that does not require new frequency allocations and does not impair existing radio transmission systems, it is proposed that the transmission frequency bands of the digital radio transmission system are identical to the transmission frequency bands of an existing television transmission system. The locations of co-channel radio and television stations are chosen such that a co-channel radio transmitter is located in the usual middle between the nearest co-channel television stations.
