Abstract
Abstract This propulsion mechanism (1) comprises an internal combustion engine (2) and a waste heat turbine unit (3) utilising the energy contained in the exhaust gas. The internal combustion engine (2) is fitted with an evaporation cooler (20) which is connected to a steam turbine (12) in the waste heat turbine unit (3). By means of this configuration the energy remaining in the cooling water from the internal combustion engine (2) is also exploited. <IMAGE>
