Abstract Translated from French Procédé de polymérisation d'hydrocarbures insaturés, avec une période initiale d'induction, au moyen d'un catalyseur constitué par un halogéno-phénate de tungstène, dont le groupe phénate porte un ou plusieurs substituants, en présence d'un co-catalyseur organo-métallique ; l'halogéno-phénate est choisi parmi ceux qui répondent à la formule <IMAGE> où X est un halogène, surtout Cl ou Br, n est un nombre entier 2, 3 ou 4, R¹ est H ou un groupe alkoxy en C1 à C8, linéaire ou ramifié, R² est un H ou un alkyle ramifié en C3 à C9, R¹ et R² n'étant jamais des hydrogènes simultanément. Process for the polymerization of unsaturated hydrocarbons, with an initial induction period, using a catalyst consisting of a tungsten halogenophenate, the phenate group of which carries one or more substituents, in the presence of an organo cocatalyst -metallic ; the halogenophenate is chosen from those which correspond to the formula <IMAGE> where X is a halogen, especially Cl or Br, n is an integer 2, 3 or 4, R¹ is H or a C1 to C8 alkoxy group , linear or branched, R² is an H or a branched alkyl at C3 to C9, R¹ and R² never being hydrogen simultaneously.
