Abstract

Abstract A system for dynamic scan at cyclic displacement comprising: scanning means (11, 12) collecting projection data from a patient (10) by scanning a portion whose position varies cyclically over a period of time; detecting means (13) producing signals corresponding to the cyclical movement of the patient over said period of time; memory means (19) memorising said projection data from said scanner means, whereby the signals from the detecting means (13) correlate the projection data and the cyclical movement signals; means (14) for setting a phase section of the cyclical movement to a specific phase in the scan and reconstruction means (55) which reads the necessary projection data for at least one plane of the patient portion including the data corresponding to the set specific phase to produce a plurality of synchronised images.

Total Claims: 3
Claim 1
Independent Claim 132 words
A system for dynamic scan at cyclic displacement comprising: scanning means collecting projection data from a patient by scanning a portion whose position varies cyclically over a period of time; detecting means producing signals corresponding to the cyclical movement of said patient over said period of time; memory means memorising said projection data from said scanner means, and said signals from said detecting means correlating said projection data and said cyclical movement signals, means for setting a phase section at a specific phase in said scanned section of said patient; and reconstruction means for reconstructing the section which reads the necessary projection data for at least one plane of said images including said data corresponding to said set specific phase and reconstruct, a plurality of synchronised images in the time axis direction.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 33 words
A system according to claim 1 wherein said setting means sets the centre phase to coincide with the centre of said collecting time width of said projection data read from said memory means.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 50 words
A system according to claim 1 wherein said setting means sets a first specific phase to coincide with said data collection commencing time of said projection data read from said memory means and a second specific phase to coincide with the data collection finsihing time of said above projection data.
