Coupling body for a shockwave-therapeutic apparatus
Abstract
B. Position). A shock wave source (1) comprises a decoupling membrane (7) which, for. B. can be coupled to a patient (13). The coupling body (11) consists of an elastic, dimensionally stable material (e.g. a solid hydrogel) with moist outer surfaces. A shock wave sensor (15) is contained in the coupling body (11). The shock wave sensor (15) can be a small electrical pressure sensor, e.g. B. piezoelectric sensor with PVDF film, or as a (preferably optical) indicator, for example in the form of a thin lead film. The advantage of this integration of sensor (15) and coupling body (11) is that the function of the shock wave source (1) can be monitored during the treatment of the patient (13). After maintenance or repair work, the use of the coupling body (11) enables simple, correct adjustment of the shock wave source (1) to its original operating data (e.g. position).
