Apparatus for the autotransfusion of blood
Abstract
Abstract The apparatus comprises an upper tank (2) containing the filtration means (9, 9a, 9b) etc consisting of filter cloths forming superimposed filter beds, the filtration tank (2) being connected to a source (15) for the injection of a spray of anticoagulant product. The filtration tank (2) communicates with a second collecting chamber (25) situated in a lower tank (18), itself containing a second reserve of anticoagulant means (30). The base of the collecting chamber (25) communicates in turn with the small tank (66) containing the second means of filtration (68) before autotransfusion into the body of the subject, a 3-way valve (34, 48) providing for the intermittent connection of both collecting and filtration chambers with a vacuum source for aspiration of the blood. <??>Application to an apparatus for autotransfusion in real time particularly under emergency operating conditions. <IMAGE>
