In order also actually to achieve at once the desired sudden change in amount delivered in the case of a desired sudden change in desired value using an agricultural distributor according to the preamble, it is provided that given a sudden change in the prescribed desired value of the amount/number of corns to be delivered the setting of the metering members via the control members is first adjusted by the computer in accordance with the percentage change in desired value, that the values determined by the evaluation computer are likewise simultaneously varied in percentage terms in accordance with the change in desired value, and that these percentage-altered values are then used as the basis for further control. <IMAGE>
