Urethanes from aliphatic fluor alcohols, isocyanates and aromatic compounds, preparation and use thereof
Abstract
Abstract Translated from German Die neuen Urethane enthalten einen aliphatischen Fluoralkohol, Isocyanat und eine aromatische Dihydroxy-, Diamino-, Aminohydroxy-, Aminocarboxy- oder Hydroxycarboxy- Verbindung in Molekül. The new urethanes contain an aliphatic fluoroalcohol, isocyanate and an aromatic dihydroxy, diamino, aminohydroxy, aminocarboxy or hydroxycarboxy compound in one molecule. They are prepared by reacting an aliphatic fluoroalcohol with a di- or triisocyanate to give the fluoroalcohol-isocyanate adduct and by reacting this adduct with one of the aromatic compounds to give the desired urethanes from an aliphatic fluoroalcohol, isocyanate and the above-mentioned difunctional aromatic compound and also by reaction of such a urethane, which still bears an active hydrogen atom on the difunctional aromatic compound, with an isocyanate compound containing one or more isocyanate groups. The new urethanes are preferably used for the oleophobic and hydrophobic finishing of textiles and leather.
