Abstract

Abstract An uneven ground vehicle comprises a plurality of running means (5,6,15,16) each having a support frame (7,8,17,18) for supporting wheels, tires, caterpillars or the like. Each support frame (7,8,17,18) is connected to the body (1) of the vehicle so as to be swingable in the front and rear direction of the vehicle whereby the wheels, tires or the like can continue to contact a ground surface even when the vehicle runs on an uneven ground.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 88 words
An uneven ground vehicle suitable for running on an uneven ground, which comprises a body and a plurality of running means provided on two front and rear portions of the body, each running means having wheels or tires and/or a caterpillar, characterized in that each running means (5,6,15,16,55,56,130) has a support frame (7,8,17,18,57,58,115) for supporting the wheels or tires (2a,2b;3a,3b;12a,12b;13a,13b;124,125) and/or a caterpillar (52,53,70,71,72,73), the support frame (7,8,17,18,57,58,115) being connected to the body (1) so as to be swingable in the front and rear direction of the vehicle.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 88 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 33 words
An uneven ground vehicle according to claim 1, wherein each support frame (7,8,17,18) supports a plurality of wheels or tires (2a,2b;3a,3b;12a,12b;13a, 13b) and a caterpillar (70,71,72,73) running around the wheels or tires (2a,2b;3a,3b;12a,12b;13a,13b).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 80 words
An uneven ground vehicle according to claim 1. wherein the vehicle has a driving system in which an operator can select two modes, one of which is such that a driving force is transmitted to every running means (5,6,15,16) and the other of which is such that a driving force is transmitted to either front running means (5,6) provided on the front portion of the body (1) or rear running means (15,16)provided on the rear portion of the body (1).
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 53 words
An uneven ground vehicle according to claim 1, wherein the body (1) of the vehicle is divided into two front and rear parts (1a,1b) which are connected with each other through a pin (80) extending in the front and rear direction of the vehicle so as to be swingable about the pin (80).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 45 words
An uneven ground vehicle according to claim 1, wherein the body (1) of the vehicle is divided into two front and rear parts (1a,1b) which are connected with each other through a pin (81) extending vertically so as to be swingable about the pin (81).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 36 words
An uneven ground vehicle according to claim 5, wherein an expansion and contraction means (46) is provided between the front and rear parts (1a,1b) in order to swing the two parts (1a,1b) about the pin (81).
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 51 words
An uneven ground vehicle according to claim 1, wherein a pair of running means (5,6) provided on the left and right sides of the vehicle are connected with each other through an axle (83) having an inner gear (87) with which a pinion (90) held by a steering wheel is engaged.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 69 words
An uneven ground vehicle according to claim 1, wherein a supporting point (100,101) of each support frame (7,8) of the running means (5,6) provided on the front part of the body (1) is deviated backward from the center of the support frame (7,8) while a supporting point (103,104) of each support frame (17,18) of the running means (15,16) is deviated forward from the center of the support frame (17,18).
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 42 words
An uneven ground vehicle according to claim 1, wherein the center of swinging motion of each support frame (115) coincides with the center of a driving shaft (127a) for driving wheels, tires (124,125) or the like supported by the support frame (115).
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 41 words
An uneven ground vehicle according to claim 1, a support frame swinging means (150,155,160) is provided between each support frame (115) and the body (1) in order to swing the support frame (115) and maintain it in a predetermined inclined position.
