Abstract

The invention relates to a microvalve (1) with a closure membrane (7) which responds to electrostatic forces, which is connected with spring elements (8) to the structural edge of a silicon substrate (2) and is produced from it by means of etching, and with one through the closure membrane valve opening (20) to be closed and released, in the area of which a counter electrode (15) to the sealing membrane is arranged. To facilitate the manufacture and the switching properties of the microvalve, it is proposed according to the invention that the counter electrode (15) is located on the surface of a further substrate, preferably a glass substrate (14), in which the valve opening (20) is also provided. The further substrate (14) is kept at a distance from the closed membrane (7) by a spacer layer (11). The further substrate (14) and the silicon structure (2, 11) are preferably connected to one another by anodic bonding.
