Rotational vibration damper, particularly for motor vehicle transmissions
Abstract
Abstract Translated from German 1. 1. Torsional vibration damper with a pot (1) which can be flanged onto a shaft and a ring (2) which is elastically coupled to the circumference of the pot via at least three rubber webs (3) and which has at least two stops (5, 6) on its side facing the pot is that cooperate with a radially projecting on the circumference of the pot (1) projection (4) such that the pendulum deflections of the ring (2) around the pot (1) are limited in both directions of rotation, the stops (5,6) and or or the projection (4) consist of a rubber-elastic material. 2. In the known torsional vibration dampers of this type, the material damping is not sufficient for large amplitudes to achieve sufficient vibration damping. 2.2 In order to achieve satisfactory damping not only with small vibration deflections but also with large amplitudes of the torsional vibration to be damped without increasing the material damping and without changing the flywheel mass, friction surfaces (7 and 8) running in the circumferential direction on both sides of the projection (4) arranged, which cooperate with outer surfaces (9) of the stops (5, 6) running in the circumferential direction. The same effect is achieved if circumferentially extending friction surfaces are arranged on the sides of the stops facing the projection, which cooperate with the circumferential outer surface of the projection. 2.3 The torsional vibration damper is particularly suitable for gearboxes in motor vehicles.
