Der Empfänger enthält eine Einrichtung (Q, Qʹ, Qʺ), die nach dem Differenzdetektorkonzept zur Unterdrückung des Intensitätsrauschens des Lokaloszillators (LO) arbeitet, der zirkular polarisiertes Licht abgibt. Er enthält ferner ein Quadraturdemodulator (D, Dʹ, Dʺ) der außer dem Nutzsignal (N) auch Regelsignale (S E , S W ) zur Polarisationsregelung abgibt, durch die die Elliptizität und der Winkel der Polarisation des Empfangslichts E S geregelt werden, derart, daß das Empfangslicht E S unter einem Winkel von 45° oder 135° linear polarisiert ist.
