Abstract
Abstract A defect detector circuit for an inductive load driving circuit which has a surge comparator circuit for comparing a surge generated from an inductive load when the current of the inductive load is interrupted with a reference value on the basis of an output from a surge absorber circuit for absorbing the surge, and a surge time deciding circuit for outputting a defect signal when a time that the surge amount exceeds the reference value does not fall within a set range on the basis of the output from the surge comparator circuit.

Independent Claim
92 words
A defect detector circuit for an inductive load driving circuit comprising: a surge comparator circuit for comparing a surge generated from an inductive load when the current of the inductive load is interrupted with a reference value on the basis of an output from a surge absorber circuit for absorbing the surge, and a surge time deciding circuit for outputting a defect signal when a time that the surge amount exceeds the reference value does not fall within a set range on the basis of the output from said surge comparator circuit.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
35 words
A detect detector as claimed in claim 1, wherein said surge time deciding circuit outputs a defect signal when a time that the surge amount exceeds the reference value does not become a predetermined time.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
43 words
A detect detector as claimed in any of claims 1 and 2, wherein said surge time deciding circuit obtains a time that the surge amount exceeds the reference value in synchronization with a command signal for controlling the current of the inductive load.
