Method of transferring an information code onto the synchronizing track of a video tape, circuit arrangement for carrying out the method and video tape manufactured in accordance with the method
Abstract
In a method for transmitting an information code on the synchronous track of a video tape, the subsequent recording is carried out by additional pulses (Z1). These additionally magnetize the synchronous track with at least partial overlap of the synchronous pulse recording and in the same sense as it depends on the binary value. This does not require deletion of the sync pulse recording. A recording device (1) has an additional pulse generator (24) and at least two timing elements (FF1, FF2) set in motion when synchronization signals (S2) occur. One timer operates a changeover switch (13) and the second the additional pulse generator (23). A reading device (2) has two threshold value detectors (K1, K2) for the separate detection of synchronous signals (Z2), furthermore at least one timing element which is started when the one signal occurs, and a code evaluation device (31) which determines whether the other signal occurs during or after the running time of the timer. A recorded video tape has double magnetized areas on the sync track approximately the length of the sync pulse recording and subsequent single magnetized areas with one of two different lengths, but which are smaller than that of the sync pulse recording.
