Acetabular endoprosthesis
Abstract
Abstract Provided at a distance in the polar direction from the snap closure (5, 6) arranged near the equator is a wedge (7) extending in the circumferential direction on the surface (8) of the acetabular element (3); the cavity wall of the outer shell (1) contains a groove (9) cooperating with this wedge. The wedge (7) and groove (9) form a guide system in which the acetabular element (3), when pressed in, is guided in the outer shell (1), already secured in the bone, in such a way that it does not tilt in relation to the outer shell (1). In this way, it is ensured that the axis of the acetabular element (3), when pressed in, runs parallel and in the direction of the axis of the outer shell (1). <IMAGE>
