An zwei Elektroden werden Gleichspannungsimpulse invertierten Vorzeichens angelegt; an der dritten Elektrode ist eine dem Füllstand des Tintenvorratsbehälters entsprechende Spannung abgreifbar, die als Kriterium zur Aktivierung einer das Tintenvorratsende anzeigende Anzeigevorrichtung und/oder zur Abschaltung der Tintenschreibeinrichtung bewertet wird.
