Process for the preparation of aqueous polyurethane-polyurea dispersions and their use as or for the preparation of coating compounds
Abstract
A new process for the production of aqueous dispersions of polyurethane polyureas by reacting a) NCO prepolymers with an (average) NCO functionality of 2 to 2.3 and an (average) molecular weight from 700 to 5000 with b) organic polyamines of ( average) amine functionality from 2.05 to 3 and a (average) molecular weight from 60 to 2000 in the presence of a water-miscible, weakly polar solvent with a boiling point below 100 ° C. under normal pressure, component a) and / or the component b) is ionically and / or nonionically-hydrophilically modified, while maintaining an NCO-NH / equivalent ratio of 1.05: 1 to 3: 1, so that the reaction products have an NCO functionality of 2.2 to 3.0 and an NCO - Have content of 0.1 to 5.0 wt .-%, and then mixing the solutions with water and optionally removing the solvent used by distillation, which would be obtainable by this process aqueous dispersions and their use as coating compositions or for the production of coating compositions for hard, inflexible substrates.
