Abstract 1. Plate set for bone fixation comprising a plate (2) of biocompatible material intended to be put in place during a surgical operation and to remain in contact with or as a substitute for a bone, particularly in the field of sternotomy, characterized in that the said plate carries at least one suture strand (3, 4) whose two free ends are intented to be joined together to hold the plate resting against the bone.
