Abstract The method is for producing a plastic part to which a form memory has been imparted by an injection-moulding/compressing/stretching process. This forcibly introduces molecular orientations which are fixed at a certain temperature. By heating this plastic part, it deforms and attempts to revert to the original shape. <IMAGE>
