Copy storing tray

Claim 2

In a copy storing tray (1; 1A) for storing copy paper sheets (11), which is provided with a detection means (5) for detecting the copy paper sheets (11) at the time of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1; 1A), the improvement comprising: a pair of side regulating plates (3, 4; 13, 14) for regulating, in a lateral direction (B, C) perpendicular to a direction (A) of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1; 1A), a position of the copy paper sheets (11) stored in said copy storing tray (1; lA), at least one of which is movably provided so as to be displaced in the lateral direction (B, C); and an actuator means (8, 9, 10) for displacing said one of said side regulating plates (3, 4; 13, 14) in the lateral direction (B, C), whereby at the time when each of the copy paper sheets (11) has been supplied to said copy storing tray (1; lA), said one of said side regulating plates (3, 4; 13, 14) is displaced in the lateral direction (B, C) by said actuator means (8, 9, 10) so as to displace each of the copy paper sheets (11) to a predetermined position where each of the copy paper sheets (11) is not detected by said detection means (5).

Claim 3

A copy storing tray (1) as claimed in Claim 1, wherein each of the copy paper sheets (11) is displaced to the predetermined position in a horizontal direction of said copy storing tray (1).

Claim 4

A copy storing tray (lA) as claimed in Claim 1, wherein each of the copy paper sheets (11) is displaced to the predetermined position in a vertical direction of said copy storing tray (lA).

In a copy storing tray (1B) for storing copy paper sheets (11) stored in said copy storing tray (1B), which is provided with a detection means (47) for detecting the copy paper sheets (11) at the time of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (IB), the improvement comprising: a front regulating plate (42) for regulating, in a direction (A) of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1B), a position of a leading edge of each of the copy paper sheets (11) stored in said copy storing tray (1B), which is movably provided so as to be displaced in the direction (A) of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1B); and an actuator means (8, 9, 10) for displacing said front regulating plate (42) in the direction (A) of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1B), whereby at the time when each of the copy paper sheets (11) has been supplied to said copy storing tray (1B), said side regulating plate (42) is displaced by said actuator means (8, 9, 10) in the direction (A) of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1B) so as to displace each of the copy paper sheets (11) to a predetermined position where each of the copy paper sheets (11) is not detected by said detection means (47).

Claim 10

In a copy storing tray (1B) for storing copy paper sheets (11) stored in said copy storing tray (1B), which is provided with a detection means (47) for detecting the copy paper sheets (11) at the time of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (IB), the improvement comprising: a front regulating plate (42) for regulating, in a direction (A) of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1B), a position of a leading edge of each of the copy paper sheets (11) stored in said copy storing tray (1B), which is movably provided so as to be displaced in the direction (A) of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1B); and an actuator means (8, 9, 10) for displacing said front regulating plate (42) in the direction (A) of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1B), whereby at the time when each of the copy paper sheets (11) has been supplied to said copy storing tray (1B), said side regulating plate (42) is displaced by said actuator means (8, 9, 10) in the direction (A) of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1B) so as to displace each of the copy paper sheets (11) to a predetermined position where each of the copy paper sheets (11) is not detected by said detection means (47).

Claim 11

A copy storing tray (1B) as claimed in Claim 6, wherein said actuator means (8, 9, 10) includes a rack gear (8) secured to said front regulating plate (42), a pinion gear (10) in mesh with said rack gear (8) and a motor (9) for driving said pinion gear (10).

Claim 12

In a copy storing tray (1C) for storing copy paper sheets, which is provided with a detection means (63) for detecting the copy paper sheets (11) at the time of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1C), the improvement comprising: an actuator means (66) for displacing said detection means (63); said detection means (63) being movably provided so as to be displaced to a retracted position where the copy paper sheets (11) are not detected by said detection means (63), whereby each time each of the copy paper sheets (11) has been supplied to said copy storing tray (lC), said actuator means (66) temporarily displaces said detection means (63) to the retracted position and then, returns said detection means (63) to a detection position for detecting the next one of the copy paper sheets (11).

Claim 13

In a copy storing tray (1C) for storing copy paper sheets, which is provided with a detection means (63) for detecting the copy paper sheets (11) at the time of supply of the copy paper sheets (11) to said copy storing tray (1C), the improvement comprising: an actuator means (66) for displacing said detection means (63); said detection means (63) being movably provided so as to be displaced to a retracted position where the copy paper sheets (11) are not detected by said detection means (63), whereby each time each of the copy paper sheets (11) has been supplied to said copy storing tray (lC), said actuator means (66) temporarily displaces said detection means (63) to the retracted position and then, returns said detection means (63) to a detection position for detecting the next one of the copy paper sheets (11).

Claim 14

A copy storing tray (lC) as claimed in Claim 8, wherein said actuator means (66) is a solenoid (66).
