Die Lichtwellenleiter (2) sind zwischen zwei Bändern (3,4) einkaschiert, deren Material den gleichen thermischen Ausdehnungskoeffizienten wie die Lichtwellenleiter (2) hat. Die Bänder (3,4) bestehen vor­zugsweise aus glasfaserverstärktem Kunststoff. Die Band­leitung (l) kann geradlinig oder gebogen oder bei mehreren Bandleitungen (l) geordnet oder ungeordnet in der Seele des Lichtwellenleiter-Kabels angebracht sein.
