Abstract

The invention relates to an electrically heated seat, in particular a car seat, which is built on a trough-shaped lower part made of dimensionally stable material and is firmly connected to an upholstery core consisting essentially of foam. The cover 6 is connected to the cushion core 1.3 by stretching, gluing, flame lamination or the like. It is essential to the invention that the surface 1.2 facing the seat cover 6 is kept thinner than the intended profile 1.1 by a uniform, small layer thickness. This lowering of the surface is compensated for by a corresponding thin foam layer 2 including the meandering heating conductor 4. The insulation of the heating conductor 4 is made of PTFE, so that there is no adhesion between the adhesive connecting the cushion parts and the insulation. The insulated conductors can move practically freely in the channels formed by the laying. This essentially reduces the risk of breakage.
