Claim 6
Dependent Claim 46 words
5) Method as in claim 1, wherein the length of time spent by the fluid disinfectant in the spray circuit (23) of the power driven instrument (2) is dependent upon the type of operation, namely disinfection or full sterilization, to which the instrument must be subjected.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 42 words
6) Method as in claim 1, wherein the steps of breaking the conventional circuit by which power is supplied to the control medium (1) of the instrument (2) and activating the first auxiliary circuit (3) to supply fluid disinfectant are implemented simultaneously.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 140 words
7) Apparatus for disinfecting and sterilizing the spray circuits of power driven instruments used in dentistry, characterized in that it can be readily integrated into standard dental surgery equipment, and in that it comprises: -a first auxiliary circuit (3), from which fluid disinfectant is supplied to the spray circuit (23) of an instrument (2) to be disinfected/sterilized, served by a first solenoid valve (5) interlocked to a first solenoid operated switch (6) the excitation of which, produced by the operation of an overall control medium (8), breaks the circuit by which power is supplied to the control medium (1) of the instrument (2); -a second auxiliary circuit (4), from which rinsing liquid is supplied to the spray circuit (23) of the instrument (2), which is served by a second solenoid valve (9) interlocked to a second solenoid operated switch (10).
