Abstract
Abstract The invention provides a method for coating comestibles such as chewing gum, candy, tablets and pharmaceutical preparations using aqueous syrups containing polyvinylpyrrolidone and preferably a sweetener, which coatings are smooth, adherent and crunchy when chewed.
