Abstract

A display device for the tripping status of a low-voltage circuit breaker (10) contains a circuit (20) which converts a data signal emitted by the tripping unit of the circuit breaker into a control signal for a display device (16, 17). The display device preferably consists of a transparent cover (17) and an attached display unit (16) and the circuit (20) mentioned. If necessary, the display device can be quickly replaced with a normal plastic cover on the circuit breaker (10) using a plug device. The circuit (20) can contain an integrated programmable multiple logic device.
