Adjustable valve system for a vibration damper, and method for adjusting or regulating of the same
Abstract
The invention relates to a controllable valve for piston rod (1) of a vibration damper, which is mine. comprises at least one cylinder filled with a damping medium and the piston rod with piston (2) which divides the volume of the cylinder into two chambers, the piston rod having a longitudinal bore (3) in the region of the piston and transverse openings (4,5 , 6, 7, 8), in particular radial channels, to form a passage between the two chambers which can be closed by means of a slide (9, 10, 11, 12, 13). The slide forms, together with electromagnets (19, 20, 21, 22, 23) arranged on the piston rod, a stepping motor. The transverse openings form with the longitudinal bore a plurality of parallel passages arranged one above the other. The slide consists of a plurality of sleeves (14, 15, 16, 17, 18) which are arranged one above the other but independently of one another on the piston rod in the region of the transverse openings. Each sleeve is assigned to one of the electromagnets and has a closed and at least one through position. Any number of slide systems can be controlled at the same time and thus the assigned number of sleeves can be moved simultaneously for parallel closing and or opening any number of passages in different cross-sectional levels. There is also a version for controlling the damping in both the compression and rebound stages.
