Abstract Translated from German Die Erfindung betrifft eine Geschwindigkeitsregelung für die Kopftrommel in einem Magnetbandgerät. Im Wiedergabebetrieb wird aus der jeweiligen Absolutgeschwindigkeit des Magnetbandes ein Signal (8) abgeleitet, mit dem die Relativgeschwindigkeit der Spurabtastung konstant gesteuert wird, indem die Kopftrommelgeschwindigkeit an die jeweilige Bandgeschwindigkeit angepaßt wird. The invention relates to a speed control for the head drum in a magnetic tape device. In playback mode, a signal (8) is derived from the respective absolute speed of the magnetic tape, with which the relative speed of the track scanning is constantly controlled by adapting the head drum speed to the respective tape speed.
