Abstract

Abstract The adjustable electrobed includes: a) A head supported by the spring-mattress, comprising two independent elements which can adopt different height «V»- positions by means of a electromotor. Each element comprises two superposed plates, the upper one being capable of displacement. b) A spring-mattress comprising two rigid bodies, being hinged at the paracentral area, supported by three pair of legs with damping means. The hinging is achieved by braces being crossed by small-spindles operated by electric motors. The hinging comprises a plurality of accordioned hinges, the turn being carried out by a pre-selected one, as the rest of them rigidly set at the corresponding spring-mattress body. The lower body includes a roller for the bedclothes to be used. c) A platform for supporting the legs. d) A pneumatic mattress, the elasticity of which can be adjusted, related to a pneumatic damper for adaptation to the user's weight. The mattress has a transversal slot which connects with the one provided in the spring-mattress.

AN ADJUSTABLE ELECTROBED, characterized by com prising: a) A head supported by the spring-mattress, being adjustable in height and in a horizontal position, comprising two independent elements hinged to the spring-mat tress support, according to axes longitudinal thereto and being able to adopt an adjustable "V"-disposition by the operation of an electric motor for the turn in both senses of two transversal small-spindles wherein both nuts displace, said nuts being related to the head ends by means of articulated braces, said head support comprising two telescopic pieces operated by a co-axial spring and capable to be blocked in-between at the maximum desired position, each one of the independent head elements compris ing two superposed plates, the upper one being able to displace along guiding tracks provided at the lower one b) A spring-mattress comprising two rigid bodies hinged in-between at the spring-mattress paracentral area, the one being nearest the head having at least one transversal cluster of slots; the spring-mattress being support ed upon three pair of legs with a damping mechanism, two pairs being situated at the body opposite the head, whilst the other pair is situated at the paracentral area of the other body, i.e. the front body; the hinging being made, small-spindles arrange transversally to the spring-mattress and as a junction between the upper portion of the pairs of legs being nearest the head and the central one, said small-spindles being operated by corresponding independent electric motors which displace pairs of nuts in the sense of closeness or separation, as said nuts are joint by braces to fix points of the spring-mattress and as every brace anchoring has two freedom degrees: the upper end of the legs being most opposite the head being oscillatingly an chored to the spring-mattress. c) A platform whereon said legs are fixed and supported. d) A pneumatic mattress, superposed to the spring--mattress and provided with a cluster of slots corresponding to that of the latter, said cluster of slots being able to be plugged by a rack closure, having been foreseen that said mattress elasticity is adjustable by changing its inflation pressure by means of a manual pump-damper provided at the spring-mattress front body. There being the corresponding run-end electrovalves for stopping the turn of the motors at the limit positions of the displacement of the head and of the spring-mattress.

There being the corresponding run-end electrovalves for stopping the turn of the motors at the limit positions of the displacement of the head and of the spring-mattress.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 58 words
AN ADJUSTABLE ELECTROBED, according to claim 1, wherein the upper or movible head plates are joint in-bet ween by a plurality of elastic cords which pass through holes being near the inner lateral edges and by a handling rod for the horizontal displacement thereof, its ends being anchored oscillatingly in a vertical plane for making their "V"-positioning possible.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 27 words
AN ADJUSTABLE ELECTROBED, according to claim 1, wherein the transversal spring-mattress cluster of slots penetrates into the whole thickness of the spring-mattress and has a "L"-vertical section.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 51 words
AN ADJUSTABLE ELECTROBED, according to claim 1, wherein the rear and inner portion of the spring-mattress includes at least one transversal roller, around which the bedclothes are rolled up, with the fringes being folded over it, said bedclothes emerging through a longitudinal window performed in a rear gate of the spring-mattress.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 25 words
