Abstract

A femoral neck implant has a plurality of receiving openings for cortex screws for fastening its femoral neck plate on the outside of the femur along the longitudinal axis of the femoral neck plate. The femoral neck plate is provided in its upper region with a shaft which extends at an obtuse angle to its longitudinal axis and which is to be implanted subtrochanterically into the femoral neck and, if appropriate, into the femoral head. The upper area of the femoral neck plate forms an integrally connected extension which is approximately adapted to the outer contour of the greater trochanter. This extension has one or more receiving openings for pertrochanteric cancellous bone screws to be fastened into the femoral neck or into the femoral head. The shaft is smooth and cylindrical on the outside and is detachably fastened with an external thread in an internal thread receptacle in the upper region of the femoral neck plate. The femoral neck implant allows for a primary postoperative stress, even if the pertrochanteric fractures are unstable, while maintaining the physiological femoral neck angle, without the risk of mechanical breakdown of the osteosynthesis.
