Abstract

The indium-tin oxide layers applied by vapor deposition or dusting on amorphous, hydrogen-containing silicon layers are subjected to a two-stage annealing process at a maximum of 200 ° C., the first stage for achieving transparency in an oxygen atmosphere and the second stage for conductivity in a plasma-activated forming gas atmosphere is annealed. This ensures that the conductivity is improved by a factor of 7 while maintaining transparency (95%). The method is used in the production of transparent electrodes for image sensor elements in office communication.
