Abstract Translated from French L'installation est dotée d'un poste de codage manuel (6) pour permettre à un opérateur humain d'assurer à l'aide d'une imprimante (1) des indications codées sur des objets plats qu'un convoyeur (2) déplace devant lui ; un lecteur optique (4) d'inscription d'adressage, placé en amont du poste de codage manuel, est apte à commander l'inscription d'indications codées qu'il reconnaît ; un dispositif d'aiguillage (8) placé en aval du lecteur optique sur le trajet du convoyeur permet d'orienter les objets soit directement vers l'imprimante à partir de ce lecteur optique, soit via le poste de codage manuel. The installation is equipped with a manual coding station (6) to allow a human operator to ensure using a printer (1) coded indications on flat objects that a conveyor (2) moves behind him ; an optical reader (4) for addressing registration, placed upstream of the manual coding station, is capable of controlling the writing of coded indications which it recognizes; a switching device (8) placed downstream of the optical reader on the path of the conveyor makes it possible to orient the objects either directly towards the printer from this optical reader, or via the manual coding station.
