Electronic locking device for motor vehicles
Abstract
In order to develop a simple, inexpensive and yet burglar-proof locking device for motor vehicles, it is proposed to use a matching, constantly-running, time-precise oscillator both in the electrical key and in the electrical lock, where both oscillators synchronously synchronize with one another in a predetermined counting cycle an associated number sequence transmitter speak to. Both encoders contain the same predetermined sequence of numbers, which they incrementally continue to count and pass the current count to one input of a computer. A fixed value memory is connected to the other input of the computer and communicates an unchangeable, characteristic key figure to the computer. Both the key figure and the count are linked according to a predetermined matching algorithm in the key and lock to form a combination code. The combination code determined on the key side is transmitted via a transmitter and receiver and compared in the lock with the combination code determined there. In the event of a successful comparison, a control pulse is triggered which actuates various actuating means in the lock.
